What day of the month do you read my meter?

We read meters 19 working days each month. Every day is a reading "Cycle". Your meter is read on the same working day each month, in other words, if you are on cycle 1 we will read your meter on the first of the month, unless that day is a weekend or a holiday. For example, January the 1st is always a holiday, so cycle one will be read on the first weekday after the 1st. On your bill, to the right of the line that says "To avoid a late penalty…" is the billing cycle such as "M-01". In most cases, unless you have more than one address on the same account, the billing cycle is the same as your reading cycle. If you have any questions about your meter or meter readings, please call our dispatcher at 973-7243 and we will be glad to help you.

How can I read my own meter?

You can read your own meter and calculate the kilowatt-hours you've used each month. Learn how.
